This is a great find! Nice and amazing customer service, AND the FOOD!! Best stop between Dophine Island and Mobile. The Lumber Jack Fry is fries, with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and a hamburger cut up with amazing sauces. In a word, "AMAZING!" Family owned restaurant passed down. Restaurant is now called Lillian's Kitchen.
Soul food delight! My daughter and I stop by on our way home. The service was great and the food was even better.
Updated- still a 5 star place. Ate here a couple of days ago and had the blackened Chicken sandwich which was yummy. I substituted a side salad because I didn't think I could manage fries or onion rings with the sandwich- I was right. Definitely worth the visit. If I could I might just take off a half star because the appetizer was a little late. But the food was FAB. Not only did my son make happy noises but his eyes widened in happiness upon the first bite. Plenty of food for the cost, I probably could have skipped the starter course. I had the shrimp po-boy which was overflowing with shrimp. Probably the best shrimp po-boy I've eaten in a while. My son had a bacon cheese burger, we both had onion rings. So not gormet food but it is good! Plenty of cars out front when we strolled in. The dinning room isn't large but they have at least two tables of eight so you could bring a hungry crew. My only problem is that we live close by and my waistline probably can't handle it. The rest of me will enjoy it.
This a great little burger joint. The staff is very friendly. The food is good. The service time is very quick. I love it most of all because it's a LOCAL (Grand Bay) business. I give it 4 stars only because it's just not an exceptional place. It is well worth the stop in if your in the area though.
The name of this place is now Lillian's Kitchen. Can't believe it took me this long to discover this place. Fridays special is the fish and shrimp. OMG, it was amazing. Perfectly fried and seasoned. Was blown away at the flavor, seasoning, freshness. Definitely will not be fighting traffic anymore to get to the causeway for my seafood fix. This place is amazing. For dessert I had the homemade red velvet cake. Awesome food. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.
